Oh good. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who is not a shutter bug. I have so few pictures that the few I do have must be worth 100,000 words rather than the standard grand.

Got the accessories pretty much done up. I filled the PS and bled it as best I could by hand with the pump. Yeah I'll still have to bleed the box but it shouldn't go immediately dry. There's a full qt in the system. It holds about another 1/3 of a qt if memory serves.

I drained most the oil out of the AC compressor. I put 4 oz back in it. I really don't know how much to put in the system because I don't know how much I lost elsewhere. I didn't get 4 oz out of the compressor so I figure it should be in the ballpark of right. It's certainly not dry. Hopefully it's not too much.

I in theory have help coming tomorrow night to put the core support in and we may actually turn diesel into noise before the weekend is over.

Started putting bolts in the core support and it hit me. I should probably at least pop this thing off dry just to be sure. So I'll go ahead and pull the belts and finish plumbing the rest of it and make sure it runs before I plumb the whole cooling system.

Couple things. It sounds completely different now. I don't know if that's good or bad but it is different. Did you notice the turbo whistle at idle? That's kinda new. The other thing is there is almost zero blow by. It smoked like a frieght train when I first got it together. I'm guessing the rings seated on the trip to KY. I don't remember running it with the tubes open after getting home so it may be no different. It seems smoother. That may be the stock cam or it may be the fact the intake valves aren't smashing into the pistons.

So there we have it. Need to finish connecting the exhaust. That was just one joint of down pipe. Shifter back in the trans and the tcase. Driveshafts back in. Cooling system installed. And IC pipes installed. Then the AC and the rest of the front end.

Sounds simple enough right?

That sounds incredibly smooth on my iPad, I suspect it will be the same on my pc with good speakers.
