Hi all,
need advice on how to rebuild an engine from ground up. this is my first engine rebuild, but ive pulled engines, done head gaskets, etc.

a little backstory for those interested. my 7.3 blew head gaskets on highway, was able to get the thing running to a gas station to call a tow to my buddy's house. pulled the engine and relaced the gaskets, go to turn it on and hear a thunk. look in the bay, and there's coolant up to my manifold. pretty sure i got a hole in the block, since it filled that much in the ten minutes between filling my radiator and me turning the key.

found a 7.3 idit that a guy had recently had remachined and bored out on marketplace that i can put in, only problem is its in complete pieces.

The Tidi is the one i would build.

Do some homework though. If its not complete, make sure you have sources for what you're missing. The crank, rod, pistons are specific to that factory turbo edition.
