Not much to tell as of late... Got the gooseneck plate off the frame and torched off some misc brackets that I think went to a fifth wheel hitch.

Today I pulled the wiring harness back to the cab and pulled the front fuel tank out in prep for frame and fuel tank painting.

This is not my truck but these are the colors I've decided in. Going to keep the original paint scheme but the colors will be 2012 f250 colors...

Well today was productive... After a disappointing soccer game I came home...put a second coat of Spackle on my bathroom and started tearing into the truck.

Pulled both fenders...managed to drop the hood on my head...no sense was knocked in or out...just stars....many many stars...

Swapping out the radiator support for the 86 core support... Didn't feel like pulling and draining the radiator

Started putting on the 86 fenders...

See how far a brick nose hood extends past the bullnose fenders...

I need to get a nicer hood but put this one on just keep the motor dry...

Lastly I managed to get the visor pulled off.

Next step is get the bottom fender mounts modified on the cab and get the body panels all lined up so I can drill holes for all the xlt trim..

The bullnose looks good! The brick nose are the ugliest front end on these trucks if you ask me. Amazing how far that hood sticks out. No wonder the bullnose are tough to intercool.

No visor? That's crazy talk. I never realized how much more a brick has on its nose.

One difference is, the sides of the hood above the headlights, angle back, a brick, well like a brick, is flat across the front. I bet if you measured from the cowl to the center of the hood, down the "ridge" in the center, they would be close to the same length......

Nope....the brick is definitely longer. A brick uses extension brackets on the bumper...where the bullnose bumper bolts directly to the face of the frame rails.

OK time for an update... Since I was stuck at home for the 4th I managed to get some work done on the truck.

Swapped the drivers side rear door to a cleaner one...has a few dents but less rust.

I also pulled the fuel tanks. I got the front tank cleaned and painted....rear tank is being replaced...

Also managed to wire wheel and paint the rear frame...along with the outside of the rest of the frame.
