why not?
seems to be doing its job so far.
I gave it a good push today.
didn't get above 900
I was bangin gears too :)
Also because that is what came with the engine I bought. [emoji16]
you don't have to cut your core support up but you do have to mess with water lines and a pump.

Just curious, I've always liked the idea of water to air but was always under the impression it's for 1320 vehicles.

So did you figure out the alt issue? Is it a conversion or did it start life this way? Sorry I don’t remember. About all that can be wrong if you’ve swapped the alt is either it’s wired wrong or it’s not grounded.

Well, someone (not me,I'm not educated enough on the subject) could make the argument, that they're better suited for a quarter mile run, rather than a work truck,do them becoming heat soaked.

I havnt gotten it to charge yet, completely stock electrical, yellow wire has 12 volts.
and its a new alternator.
usually this grounds through the alt bracket, which brings up a very good point,
alt bracket is powder coated, so its highly likely that its not grounding.
ill add a ground today. cross fingers.

only the real world towing will decide if this intercooler is the ticket.
but from a fabricators stand point, its a godsend, and a nightmare lol

I have shopkey and can give you a nice diagram if the ground doesn't work. it sounds like that could be your problem.

water to air is very good for drag racing as you usually only need a reservoir that you fill with ice and water for a single pass. For street driving you need a radiator for the water to cool down from being exposed to the intake charge. Overall its a tighter package and much more efficient than air to air due to the characteristics of water, and it can work very well in a street application when the system is designed properly;Sweet

As much as it pains me, I think you need to remove some coating at the mounting points

You could swing by auto zone and have them test it. That way you can eliminate it being an electrical issue on the truck before you buy a new one.
