Hi in the Cascades, Nearly- Redmond,Oregon
Here some pics @BlindAmbition

And on EDIT:
1st pic show my mount. BTW my dr side inter wheel cover is removed, battery boxes been rebuilt & lowered for bigger batterys I found good deal on, removed & mted vac tomato can is mounted down on frame, bunch other stuff is out from under hood & moved.

Last yr I mted the Frantz & a Tripple RRR toilet paper filters as you can see in series (snagged off EBay few yr ago) mted up on battery bx. Did have return going into oil fill cap but too much engine blow-by & engine always dirty. Finally made a plate & plumbed return into front IP timing cover. If running E Fuel Pump & no mechanical can return into fuel pump block-off plate.

I got lot info from BOB IS THE OIL GUY site/forum. There several guys suggested installing a .035 or .045 restrictor in the outgoing line so I put a .045 MIG welding tip inside the last outlet oil return hose.
also @icanfixall & several others here on OB talked bout Frantz....

I put a 1/8" ball valve on 1st filter inlet in case I spring leak & need to shut things off.

I tapped into turbo feed plug down on Dr side lower down by bell housing for oil feed, came up to ball valve then Tripple RRR filter with braided steel line I had, out of that filter into Frantz with rubber fuel line, then out of & on to return. (& remember the .045 restrictor on/inside hose on last outlet)

& remember only place I been able to find right sized toilet paper has been Costco

Do you just change the filter every 5k and keep the oil full? I like this “constant changing” of oil.

I had a sbc that used around that much. I just kept the oil full. Daily morning ritual just like coffee :rotflmao
I just add a QT when it is down to, or about to the add line.
Usually change it 5K miles or so. Last one was in the 3K mile range, but was taking off on a trip to SD. Used 2 QT`s going, and 2 coming home. So now some where over 3K miles, but now doing a Clutch R&R and Rear Main Seal.
Even though I have a rag stuffed in the open area of the Pan, Scrapping off the old Sealer/Gasket something is bound to fall into the back edge. So it`s getting an oil change when I get her buttoned up.

I have been known to go way over a time or two when not paying attention to the mileage since the last OC.
I know the oil consumption is past the Rings and she is burning it, she is old enough to drink
now...LOL

Just adding oil doesn`t really add to the length of time to change the oil. It sound good, but the oil gets more soot etc...and slowly thickens up so to speak.

Goat.......I don't know what to say cept run back down there & grab them, quick!!
And our WallyWorld the F1995 A was like $26 & I didn't see any regular F1995 filters.
Are there any difference between the F1995 & F1995 A ?

Makes sense, my old beater (sbc gas) used enough it always looked like maple syrup (the dark amber)

And yes, go back, buy them all, take a photo of the tag on the shelf. And if they ring up north of $26. Show them the photo you just took and have them manually override the price!!

Bypass pictures are great. Seems like a good location, good idea on the welding tip. I've got a couple motorguard units that say they can handle the full oil flow PSI, but I'd rather slow it down and that may be the ticket.

Didn`t know there were 2 different numbers.
FL 1995, could be an (A) at the end. Later when Iam out in the shop will take a look what the number`s are.
Was at Wally World about 3 days ago, and the shelf was empty of them.
My shelf has about 13 of them. ;Really

Stopped at Wally World in Carson City, sad to say, FL-1995A is now $26+ change.
Dang, that is a $16 jump.

Checked my stash in the shop, They are FL-1995A, all 15 of them.
Good thing I started picking them up when I did, After ole Joe got into office, and the rumors of supply chain shortages, I started buying them for just in case. Got all of them for $9.44 ea.
Amazing they stayed at that price till now.

Either way, it was completely man made. It got to the point where I hated to even hear the words "supply chain".

Dishwasher............Trying to tell all U folks, just make sure you have a dishwasher!!! Has worked great for me for years.

I always put the filters & .357 & 44Mag parts back behind the bigger dinner plates, out of sight in case Carol gets up & catches me!!! LOL

Oh, & make sure U use right kind of dishwashing soap! Once I loaded dishwasher up with Dawn Liquid Soap, lots of Purple Power Engine Cleaner, but I spent all nite mopping up soap bubbles all over floor!!! LOL LOL

An interesting video. The Chinese one has the most filter media but the Vietnamese one isn't bad either. The most expensive USA made Baldwin produced one is the worst of the three for media and the filter being glued instead of metal crimped.

The red Chinese one for PSD is only $10. The link should work despite the title, but if not it's part number R85734
