Now as far as value... I have gotten all my receipts together for vehicles in the past and used that as a value for a custom insurance policy so the actual replacement value of the vehicle is covered should it be destroyed.

You may not regret selling it today, tomorrow, or next year, but ur gonna regret it eventually.

If I had the money I'd pay maybe $4-5K. Mainly because I'm not a fan of extended cabs and would rather hold out for a crew cab.

Really it just comes down to whatever a buyer in your area is willing.

Haha, when they advertised these in the 80’s it should’ve said “do you like dying at stop lights and the smell of diesel”. I’ve learned that I can hate the truck one minute but then the next minute I can’t believe I ever hated it haha

Oh I already know how I know. 77 Chevy luv. Still wish I had that old terd. Many of lawns I mowed and raked as a kid buying and fixing that thing up and lots of time with my parents teaching me how to fix it. Now that they both just died, really wish I had never let it go

For sure. New tags, insured. Everything. I have been pulled over 3 times because Commiefornia cops think I have a tuner because of the “modified turbo” as one stated.

The muffler bullsh** law or the tuner one? I was trying to explain as respectfully as I could that it was Pre-smog so it didn’t apply to me. Then I asked my dad, who is a cop, if it was illegal and he said no lol

I've been having that problem on my '89 crew cab. It's really frustrating because it's intermittent.

Those stupid return lines are the one weak point on these old engines. I was just working on a John Deere which has a Roosa Master pump and the pencil injectors. The return line olives on it are steel, and thread onto the top of the injector. If only International had gone with that system!

That’d be fantastic. I pretty much have mine figured out but I think some of it is fuel starvation too. Taking to @Thewespaul i do think that the duralift pump might be causing some unneeded issues.

Around Sacramento, I'd say 4kish. If it were the F350 with Dana 60 you could get more. That said, don't sell it. Even if it just sits, I think you can drive it for years and it may be worth more in the future. I think people are starting to like these old trucks. My wife drove mine today, and someone waited by the truck outside the store to ask if she wanted to sell it. Unfortunately for him, we only buy trucks here.

Hi guys. New to the forum , although I’ve been visiting it for a while .... a lot of really great information!
I have a 1988 F350 7.3 idi , 104,000 miles Really in great condition... have 3 trucks this ones my favorite , I’ve had it since 1994, friend of mine picked it off the lot brand ass new. Live in Alaska ... small towns with not alot of highway hence the low miles .. had 13,000 on it when I got it!
Anyway as several stated above don’t sell, I’ve had lots of offers to sell this truck, wouldn’t consider it.
