Hey y’all. I’m wondering how much my pickup Would be worth if I sold it right now. So here are the details.
-been a Sacramento farm truck it’s whole life
-I have all the receipts for the machine work and transmission work
-some miscellaneous receipts as well
-California truck, absolutely not a hint of rust.
1986 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat 6.9 turbo
-daily driven
-fully rebuilt 6.9 engine
-bored .30 over
-rebuilt heads
-polished crank
-new rods
-new bearings
-new oil cooler
-ARP head studs
-ATS 088 turbo rebuilt by Russ with compressor wheel mod
-4 inch diamond eye exhaust
-new injection pump and injectors 2500 miles ago
-new return lines
-full fuel system was gone through
-new tank selector valve
-new fuel lines
-fixed the shower head issues in the tank
-Facet Duralift electric pump
Used to be a c6 truck
-swapped in a zf5 speed
-luk SMF 12.25 clutch kit
-5 speed and transfer case were gone through, new synchros and bearings/seals
-new U joints everywhere
-Dana 44 ttb has all new moog components
-1000 miles on new springs
-3 inch mini pack leveling kit with drop brackets
-f350 rear blocks
-brand new 35/12.50r17 federal couragia mud terrain tires
-17x9 Raceline wheels brand new also
-pyro and boost pillar gauges
-oil psi and coolant temp under dash gauges
-Kenwood radio
-alpine speakers front and back
-Bose 1200 watt amp under drivers seat
-new window regulators
-weather stripping in cab
-new brakes all around
-new dash and headliner and carpet being installed within the next couple weeks
-3.55 gears
-limited slip rear end
-blue LED dash lights
-1980 grill and clear turn signal lenses
I’m sure I’m forgetting stuff, this was my first truck and I’m the 3rd owner. The second owner bought it from a dealer in 1988.
-I have put about 5000 miles on the truck since the rebuild
-doesn’t smoke at all, fires up instantly no matter how cold
-I have pulled multiple trailers over 12000 pounds and it does fine
-recently cruised 80-85 to flagstaff Arizona and back with no issues, got around 19 mpg. It’ll get around 20 at 65 with the bigger tires.
-the only issue with this truck is there is a slight oil leak from the rear drivers side of the oil pan. It will drip down the side, it’s very slow though. If you wipe the oil off the pan it won’t drip anywhere for a couple days.
-the paint could use some work but it’s not terrible. Just on the hood and the passenger side lower bed.

The don’t plan on selling it for quite a while so it will be getting some more modifications down the road. Paint is next on the list. Then a 90cc pump and a custom turbo system based off of a hypermax. This truck is far from being a cobbled together highschool kid’s truck. I take pride in what I do and I don’t half ass stuff. My grandfather helped me out and advised me on most of this truck. This has kind of been our project together for the past 2 years.

I got to ask, with all that work into it why would you ever consider selling it? Obviously, you're never going to get your money back...
I didn’t pay anything for the truck. I traded it for some work. But the only reason I’d want to sell it is because It would be cool to try something different I guess. I’m honestly just interested in how much it would be worth because I genuinely have no clue. I really love the truck though

Very nice. I'd offer you a lot less than you (or maybe the previous owner) put into it. That's just the way it goes with used vehicles. As Saburai says, it just doesn't make sense to sell a good one.

I really don't need another supercab, but bring it to Interior Alaska, and I'll give you five grand cash.

Keep it and enjoy it and make it nicer. Otherwise, don't sink another dime into it if you plan to sell it.

Solid truck. Value to a buyer is very location dependent. The true value is the time spent with your grandfather.

Where's your fuel filter? I think there's a reason international ran hard lines after the filter. There's no chance of a fuel line shedding material into the IP.

The fuel filter is in the stock location. I see a rubber fuel line from the electric pump to the filter head. Then I see another one that's part of the return system. I'm guessing that the stock hard line is still in place.

Sheesh. I'm blind. I could probably make out the part number once I zoomed in

Well it’s probably worth 500$ now because of the random air intrusion that just started today haha

Yeah there’s a ton a sentimental value to it. It has been the truck that saves the day on multiple occasions
