Current radiator recommendations?

Long story short, if I needed a radiator, I would find out what it cost to fix mine. Then if it is totally wiped out, a trip past the junk yard and a stop off at a rad shop on the way home.
I am not much into plastic radiator replacement for a brass unit. if it came plastic, then it can stay plastic.

Seem to recall reading in Ford shop manual that diesel radiator's cannot be "rodded". Suggest verifying with reputable shop. I think cleaning options are limited to chemicals and ultrasound. I'll try to locate exact Ford recommendation and pass along.

When I said "rodded & cored" that's what I always heard terminology that has been used. I wasn't there. Whatever he did to mine I assume was with the tanks off and cleaned big time. I know there was a tank leaking. So really I don't know what he did.....maybe just washed it off & squirted new black paint on it & charged me $$125. ha

I have a Dubz Radiator in my truck it cost $1100 shipped to my door but it is incredibly high quality.

Wow... for $1100 they should send a tech to hand-carry it and install it for you!

I always try and buy the best for my truck and doing so has never hurt me.
