Oh no….. I figured I had a few months left…I'm beginning to wonder if Laine has been plotting this conspiracy the whole time........
It all started a few years ago when he bought his truck and joined the forum..........
Now........He drives a beetle, shows us all the time how much abuse they can take.......
We hardly see the truck anymore.......
I don't know Laine....... I'm betting the real intent hear was infiltrating a diesel truck forum, and brain washing us with your gasser beetle....lol
Your secret has been revealed...................
..........lol

I seriously didn’t think that a roller brush would go on so flat. But it looks so much better than the spray I was using. I used a spray gun for the primer but I didn’t like how finicky it was plus I wasn’t entirely sure how to use it properly. This is also much thicker of coats and it doesn’t run so that’s super cool. Anyways. Frame is almost done being painted. I had to drill out the spring hangers as well and I have no desire to ever do that again
I wire wheeled it and used a cool little corrosion remover disc that cut through the surface rust real well. I used rustoleum clean metal/light rust primer and then just rustoleum gloss black metal paint. Painted the primer with an air gun and then I rolled the black on. A lot of hot rod guys used this stuff and it seems like it holds up really well as long as you don’t use aerosol. I figure for a California truck it will be good for a long time.Did you sand blast the frame before painting it?
What type of paint did you use?
