Glad you found a frame.

Keep looking you will find a zf5 or the parts you need. Maybe call some tranny shops and see if they have the parts you need. Guessing some clutches out there have imploded killing the bell housing. Perhaps they have the rest of it for sale.

That’s what I’m hoping.

200$ is a pretty good deal I feel like. Looks like it wasn’t jumped or totaled so hopefully it’s straight. The guy took the cab and everything for a body swap because his was all rusty I guess.

Laine friends don’t let friends tow their Ford parts with Dodges! :D
I guess I’ve never had anything down to a bare frame. Doesn’t look like there’s any damage and I guess it’s straight.
i think you are going to need some new shocks for your new frame.

There will be others come into the yards if you don`t get these.
Did a search and saw 2 in Sacto. PNP. They looked a little rough.

This was the “I pull U pull”. I forgot they changed the name. The truck was all cut up but the axles looked clean.

I haven`t heard of those yards.
Since you are building the truck from the bottom up, have you thought about going with Disk Brakes instead of Drum rear`s?

You mentioned the 06 axles, I came across this thread of a guy using the newer axles but staying with the 8 on 6.5 lug pattern, and modifying the newer metric lug pattern.
Interesting read anyway.

I plan on running a newer 10.5 rear end so I can take advantage of the discs. Hopefully I’ll be able to grab this Dana 60 later today! Anyways, my only reason for sticking with 8x6.5 is because I love my stock alcoas, but if I get the 05+ axles, the smallest wheels I can run at 17 inches, so I won’t be able to keep my wheels. I think I’ll run the stock super duty wheels though.

320$ later I own a 2007 dana 60. I got all the springs and everything. I just need coil buckets and radius arm brackets. For the radius arms I’m going to fabrimucate something sorta like a 4 link but sorta not out of some tubing. The coil buckets will be from a super duty because they’re 50$ Lol. I’m very excited
