A small one, the truck has a Banks turbo kit on it so it's very hard to reach the return line though so I just disconnected it at the back of the engine and let it pour on the ground, and it was enough to make a puddle after cranking for less than 30 seconds.Do you have an air compressor?
About 75k on the truck as best I can tell. The original owner died before I bought the truck but the condition and what his son remembered seem consistent with that. It has a Banks turbo that has probably been on the truck since new, and a huge intercooler that idk where it came from.Ok so in 3 pages , we've not answered, how many miles are on the pump?
Anything over 125k, and there's nothing much left, yes they will run for a few hunnert k but not like a new pump will....
What kind of milage were you getting? I was getting about 12.Ok,
So here's what Russ told me just before he died R.I.P. ...
My truck now has 60 k original miles on it, I was chasing my tail about crappy mpg's.
It was probably @55k or so, we talked about it in detail and his answer was the pump needed a rebuild in spite of the low mileage but because of the age.
Justins new pump transformed the thing.
Once you get fuel delivery to the ip @ 100% with psi and gpm or gph, then once you get the lines purged all the way to the injectors, button them up and check the returns.
Good luck and happy hunting.
