Purchased the conversion u joint for the front and a flange for the rear end. Didn’t want to use the 10.25 yolk.

Now my main thing is the trac bar mount. Not sure if I’m gonna try to use the super duty one or make something. Definitely not paying 400$ for one that’s for sure.

The frame came with a newer rabs valve. I also acquired the junction thing from an f super duty that technically deletes the rabs. Because of the bigger brakes and hydroboost, I’m thinking getting rid of the rabs will eliminate any future issues. What do you guys think?

In the handful of times my rabs has activated, it's been nice having. I'd keep it in my opinion.

It's one of those things that is great when it actually works. If yours is in good shape I'd leave it. Salt kills it up here and I usually just get rid of it instead of trying to fix it. Then you can send me the delete block LOL

Sorry for my lack of photos. I got a tailhousing for my zf5 on Saturday for 250$, it has a hairline crack in it but it’s nothing serious so I will be able to get it fixed. The transmission guy I’ve always used is super knowledgeable on zf’s and he fixes that type of thing all the time.

I also was able to get the shock mount and Traction bar mounts welded on the rear end (I’m not a fantastic welder but I’m sure if I did it more consistently I’d be alot better). Next weekend I’ll pull the engine and check it out and then install it on the frame.

This will be the one part I buy for this axle swap that I didn’t want to build myself. I am extremely impressed with Blowing Diesel. I’m pretty sure it’s a one man show and he does this out of his garage. The quality is fantastic and for a trac bar mount, I wouldn’t want some dinky little flat bar. Well worth the money if you’re doing this swap.

Not super related but our flatbed at work decided to break right where the dovetail is welded onto the frame. So I took it down to my grandad and he welded it up for me while I ate my burrito and I was out of there within an hour and off to pick up the tractor. He said these are his worst welds ever lol. He’s only been doing it for 70 years.

What a great resource to have! And when my worst welds look like that I'll be one happy man! I love how he didn't mess around and went straight for a nice thick plate. It's never failing right there again, ever. It's that stick?

No sir this was mig. My grandpa is that guy that I aspire to be like. Incredibly humble and always willing to help. I’m so lucky to have him in my life man

That's awesome! :Thumbs Up

If you haven't already-- I suggest you take some time to tell him all that at least once. I've found so many of us don't say the kind things we aught to say until it's too late for one reason or another.

I agree, my other grandpa passed away when I was a freshman. In the end he ended up having real bad dementia. As a young kid you don’t really know what to say but looking back now I wish I could tell Bud how much I appreciated all he did and how much I love him. It kinda bothers you a little.

So I make sure to tell grandpa Bob how much I love him and appreciate all he does. Most old guys don’t know how to say all that stuff but I don’t care, I’m a softy.

I think that I found a bed and I’ll go check it out on Saturday. 500$ and it looks really straight. I haven’t really found any good ones that didn’t come with a 2000$ truck lol. And this has all the trim and everything.

Well if it makes you feel any better, this is how I look at it. I think that would be a good way to go. You don't even realize that something's wrong.
