Getting blinded by thoughtless drivers is aggravating. But I’m still glad headlights are getting brighter and better focused.
When I lived in New York, bright lights helped to illuminate the deer’s eyes and gave some warning of their presence. The “deer” in this part of Alaska are 1000 lbs moose. And it seems that nothing on a moose reflects light. Bright lights definitely help!
When studying for my CDL, the manual referred to high beams as “driving lights”, and low beams as “courtesy lights”. To me, This kinda highlights the real problem- courtesy is in short supply.
Still, When another oncoming thoughtless driver passes me, being able to light up the road with quality driving lights makes me smile every time.

First I ever hear of that. Wonder what dumb axx came up with
that?
So with bit of new knowledge, screwem, high beams from now on.
Going out to trim the Wicks for more light...LOL

Here are some projector retrofits
Looks a lot like a human face to be freaked out about in your rear-view mirror....

All that front end needs now is a pair of eyebrows painted on the hood...just above those eyes...

or...if you are into extra fuzz...a unibrow...

I was straining my head trying to figure out how to give it a subtle grin...instead of a straight, pressed-lip non-plussed grimace...

better than clouded up stock lens covers, for sure...

Headlight retrofits on these bricks are something I've done a ton. 2 best options imo are to buy the new headlights on ebay that have a clear housing and bake it in the oven. You can pry the plastic off and get the projector threads shoved through the bulb hole and put the locking nut on the back. Need the clear housings for the cutoff beam to be flat.

Another option is cut the entire thing off. Save outside trim. Get clear plexiglass, and sit a 4x6 led projector inside. Paint housing black. Glue it back together.

I can take more pictures if anyone wants them. The rings around both housings are led turn signal and running lights. Led box you can do for about 100$ if you don't mind butchering the housings. Projector, hids, new lights and stuff like on my diesel in the first Pic was 500 ish when I did those. Good 55w hid projectors are unbeatable night vision. Led boxes do same thing but it's like 75% as bright. Which is still like 5x better than stock.

Got a parts list, write up? That's the first I've heard of it being accessible to us common folk.
I really like the hard cut off of projectors and anything is better than stock, plus it's possible to get warm-ish bi-zenon bulbs still, whereas the LEDs aren't made that way in my findings.

Or... Ya know... Taking commissions? Cause I'd pay a pretty penny for a ready to ho HID kit.

Here's the writeup I did on here for the dremel and led method:

For the hid one I'm struggling to find it but I swear I made one.

Where did you get those turn-run kits?
I have those identical ones I got a few years ago, which I separated each LED housing, extended the three wires at each housing, and mounted on a touring bike through the hard saddlebags and 55L top box.
Was trying to find the vendor again to do custom running board lighting on the C350.
Love the final product, bet it looks great at night.

This is probably the write up that I was referencing earlier. I remember the part about using a Dremel.
