I think you have a thing for NA C6 IDIs, but you just can't bring yourself to own one. So you're hoping one of us will get one and you can vicariously live through us while we do 48mph turning 2900 rpms.....From the Klairmont automotive museum in Chicago, which closed and now the vehicles are being auctioned off. I imagine this was a work/service truck for the museum, but it is super clean and appears to be very low mileage.

They'll probably stop making the high pressure oil pumps that those engines need about the same time as we run out of rebuildable pumps and people to rebuild them! Here's one to grab and store for when you're old and there's no more IDIs left.

It also gives the buyer "negotiating power".Na, That C6 is just place holder that allows the buyer to get it home before swapping in a proper transmission.
Which is cool for unloaded driving, but with any load, gv on, non locking converter makes some serious heat down the highway. The couple that I have been around, would really push the converter around loaded in od down the highway.that C6 has a gearvendors overdrive
My truck had a GV on a C6 when I got it and you're right, not happy in OD when pulling. The only benefit I had with the C6 was that my wife could drive it.Which is cool for unloaded driving, but with any load, gv on, non locking converter makes some serious heat down the highway. I dont get why everybody is always down on the c6 though, for just a driver, and with 354 gearing, they work just fine......and you dont have to shift. Drove a 7.3 truck with c6, really healthy injection pump and an extra windy turbo. With the sloppy converter, it got into big boost pretty quickly, was pretty fun.
I've seen instances where that wasn't an advantage. My step sister for example. The only benefit I had with the C6 was that my wife could drive it.
