Tuesday went to the Dump, had my 5 x 12ft Box trailer piled high
with Sage Brush that was getting too close to the shop.
The Parking Brake was suddenly got low to the floor with one click,
and would barely hold. Noticed the thingy that the 2 cables from the
rear wheels was at an angle and loose.
Jacked up the back end, removed both wheels. Pulled the drum to take a peek, right side looked ok, gave the adjuster a few clicks.
left side, the little Cable that runs from the top and curves around
to the metal goodie that hold the adjuster wheel, and is suppose
to do the auto adjusting. The cable wasn`t attached and disconnected to the metal adjuster goodie.
Reconnected the Cable, but the adjuster thingy is bent/tweeked
and doesn`t set tight to the adjuster wheel.
I had this all apart about 6 weeks ago to replace the leaky Wheel Cylinder, and had trouble with it trying to bend it to fit right.
Maybe a new one come`s in the Hard Ware kit of brake Parts...
Got it back together and Lug Nuts torqued down.
Now the Parking Brake hold`s at one click.
Starting tonight and all week to next friday, snow/rain cold...yuck.
It better hold together till next week.
Bought a set of these fender side lights off E-Bay a couple months ago, dang they are bright.
Front Side Fender Amber LED Marker Lights For 1980-86 Ford BRONCO F150 F250 F350.
www.ebay.com
Then starting searching for LED`s for the front turn signal, Park lights. Couldn`t find what I was looking for, but found these that
are for a 73 - 79. And are the sequential lights for the turn signals.
DRL / Turn Signal LED Light Pair For 1974-1977 Ford F-100 F100 Front Grill Amber.
www.ebay.com
Now this is for my Bull Nose.
Made a card board template, set it over the lights and traced around it. Then with my Dremel and a Diamond cut off wheel
cut out the center of the light, so the new light would set inside it.
Then using clear RTV will hold it in.
It comes with a plug like a 1157 light bulb has. So is plug and play.
Should look great when I finally finish this project.
Then the stupid Dremel c ***** out, thought it was over heating and just quit. Then would start back up for a bit and quit. Tapped it on the work bench and start back up...
So guess she is done.
Picked up a new one at HD Last night, sure cost a lot more that it did 20 years ago....
Edit: The "C" is ok, but the R A P E D is not...OH now I see why.
Maybe I should have spelt it with a "K"? kraped....
or maybe 2 P P`s.
