Monday while using my Kioti CK-30 Tractor, the R/R tire goes flat.
Limp over to the shop figure out how/where to jack this thing up.
Used my 20ton Bottle Jack, raising the one side, notice the other tire also came up off the ground. Maybe because the Scraper box
was sitting on the ground. Place Dunage under the Draw Bar plate
to make sure this thing is secure.
Get the wheel off, roll it around to the front, start the engine, roll the Bucket back a bit, and get the tire in it. raise it up, back the 86 under it and dropped in the wheel.

Took it to my tire guy, he aired it up, and the leak is an inch or so from the Bead. Great, need a new tire. Could tube it a lot cheaper,
but decided to go new. Russ said to replace them in pairs, so took the other one down yesterday.
Good thing he has 2 young guys work there to load them up. I know they weigh more than I do. The old tires had summer air which is lighter, and the new tires have winter air which is heavier,
that`s my theory... stickin to it.
So dang near $1200 later and we have new tires. Old tires were 8 and these new one`s are 16 ply.

It`s rain/snow right now and the next few days. Get them unloaded and mess with them later.

So that is what we did with the truck this week.

Stopped at O`Really`s and ordered a new Blower Resistor,
be in tomorrow, and I can get all 3 speeds again.

Yesterday afternoon installed the Blower resistor.
Was dang cold, been having snow off and on, but
nothing sticking for long. Wind blowing, finally dug
out the HF Heat gun, set it up to blow heat on my
Hands, getting where I couldn`t feel my fingers or
the screws.
used an 8mm Socket, 1/4" swivel and extension with
a Ratchet. Think the screws just go into the plastic
housing, but being rusty didn`t help. A shot of kroil &
they loosened up. Once loose used one of the screwdriver
with the end for a Socket or extension to unscrew them.
Iam amazed I didn`t drop the screws getting them in or
out of the cramped difficult area.

Pulled the resistor out and had twigs and leaves inside the
springs, and could see a bunch in the Heat core area.
I`ll wait for better weather and Pull the Core and vacuum
/blow it all out. It has the MC Part # on it, so maybe the
original who knows. I have never had it out the past 10 1/2
years I have owned it.

Once screwed back in, blew out the Plugs with electric parts
cleaner, put Dialectrical grease on the pins and Plugs, even
a dab on the screw`s.
Not a difficult job, with the main wire harness going under the
Housing and other wires, just a cramped area.
Now I have all the blower speeds yeah.
I used the Standard part# RU439 for my 86. Just check your
year model as the part# does change.

Wife and I went out early this morning and picked up a cord of fire wood in the 1990 1ton. Road so much better than empty. Now just gotta unload it and make sure it’s all stove cut.

I would strongly recommend not turning the heater on until the leaves have been removed from the housing. The resistor coils get glowing hot during operation. I have had it catch fire in one of mine years ago.

Thankfully I was in the driveway and quickly got it put out with the garden hose. If I had been driving I'm fairly certain I would have lost the truck.

I had the one in my Bronco make the leaves start smoking while driving down the road. Fortunately, I could still use the heater on the low fan setting so I made it home even though it was a little chilly.
Installed new starter Saturday , got everything hooked back up and it just spins, wont engage the flywheel. So now will have to remove and try another new one:mad:
Before you do all of that, did you install the top starter bolt and did you make sure that the starter is fully seated against the adapter plate? Sometimes that's all it takes for the starter to not engage the flywheel.

I'll crawl under it again this evening and make sure it is fully seated, yes, all three bolts are in and tight.

Got me a fancy new shift boot! It's only about 15 years late or something, but thanks to this forum I got the better version with the white foam that will keep the noise down quite a bit!

I need to do this. Mine came apart when I was doing my clutch and I regret not doing something about it

I really like the idea of dyna matting the whole floor. My speakers are stock so with the road noise I can't hear anything haha

Oh nice. I also love the factory radio, old school gauge mount and trailer brake controller. Super cool. Looks like it’s straight out of the 90s. Very retro. Love original stuff.

This is the very first thing I do to every truck I’ve ever gotten even newer ones. I tear out the seats and cruddy carpet, head liner and door panels, fake dyna mat everything from top to bottom, recover the head liner, and add new jutt. and install all new rubber floor kit. So much better sounding, warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. So worth a days labor. Wife always helps with the dyna mate. It’s easy and she thinks it’s fun.

Are you using a kit or building your own intercooler? What are the measurements of the inter cooler? I’d like to build one but I have a huge aftermarket ac condenser and giant trans cooler.

I am building it. It is in place but I just have it going straight in the intake. I fit the inner cooler out in front of the radiator and hanging down between the frame.
