Nice looking Bull Nose. Is that a Ford or new Holland Tractor?
Haven`t seen either one of those around this area. Most all
are orange, Kabota or Kioti around here.

Funny you mention fuel pressure. I put the Facet in and although I haven't driven it yet, it still is under 5 psi at idle. I have not removed the old lift pump yet so maybe that is holding it back. But I noted that the electric pump does not pump up to pressure and shut off. When I shut the truck down and turn the key back on it is ticking away.
Any thoughts on this?
The Facet is a bypass-style pump, so it never shuts off. It just doesn't force more than the rated PSI through the hose. And if you still have a return fitting from the filter head even if it was the static pressure style it wouldn't shut off most likely either. It can't pump through a non-rotating IP though, I've tried.

Its all original. I intend to bypass the mechanical lift pump and at some point remove the OE filter and bracket. Free up some room up there and not have to tear half the van apart to change the filter.

I support relocating the filter/header etc, but you might consider running the mechanical in parallel with the Facet. I have the 9-11psi Facet and it won't keep up at WOT. My stock pump is maxed out so you may have different fuel needs, but the injection timing does change from 0psi to 9psi. It's nothing crazy but it's a thing, and can feel the truck having less power at 1 or 0 psi WOT.
Plus I like redundancy, so two pumps. I leave the Facet for priming, it runs off the high idle circuit then shuts down when the circuit turns off. And if my mechanical ever dies on the road, I can just hook the Facet to the FSS to run full-time.

Thanks,

Right on the money, it's a '84 Ford 1910,

In my area, there's pretty much some of everything.

Needed to change the oil on the 86, been waiting for a day the wind wasn`t blowing.
Needed to fill one of my 5 gal Propane tanks, so headed down to Walmart to swap the Tank and warm the oil.
Noticed they have the tanks in this cage thing, then just swap tanks. The thought of getting a cart, load the tank go inside, pay, find a guy to open the cage, swap tanks etc....
Then notice the Station on the corner had a big Propane tank.
Never use that station as their Diesel always costs more. But they do carry 100 octaine and racing gas etc...

Guy comes out fill the tank wo any hastle, usually they give the tank a look over, "OH this one is too old to fill" etc... old days they just filled them. Nice thing about the old tanks with the round handle, you could crack the valve, hold a beer can/Soda can in front of it and instant cold.
Then the triangle handle with the safety valve. Had to get rid of the older tanks....what a racket.

Guy says nice truck I have a 89 F-150. Told him this one is Diesel, "Oh a converted gas engine?" First I heard that in a long time.

Get back home drop the oil, first thing I notice, a Mouse is building a nest right on top of my GP Relay. Guess love is in the air, it`s that time of year. Time for traps everywhere. GRRR.

let the oil drip for couple hrs while I play on the tractor.
Have a bunch of 2 gal old oil bottles I use for old drain oil. Dump the pan into one, then take off the filter and drop into the pan.
Install Drain Plug, 7/8". Wipe off where Filter lives, install prefilled Filter, "oil gasket".
I always write the date and mileage on the side of the Filter, then when I open the hood, I can see the info for the next oil change.
I have another Oil Pan I drain the Filters in. Cut down a old Refrigerator shelf to sit on top. Then several day or when ever I think about it, throw them into the big shop wood stove to burn out the innards, then into the metal scrap pile.

When we had the last rain a few days ago, I guess I didnt fully shut the door, and it dripped onto the rug and soaked it. Top corner of the door right over the Wind Wing. So Iam using the Propane Torpedo Heater sitting on a Milk Crate blowing air to dry it.
Pulled the Carpet back, crimped a VG on it and a ratchet strap attached to it, over the steering wheel, out the door to a bed hook to hold the Carpet back.

All this to say "I changed the oil yesterday".

OK going to play on the tractor.

420Bullnose, when I was looking for a tractor several years ago, I saw one or 2 1910`s come up on my searching, a ton of gold plated orange Tractors. For some reason I wanted a JD.
Found a 84 JD 950, Loader, JD Back Hoe with 3 Buckets, JD Auger, JD Scraper box and a almost new Rototiller off CL

Coming up soon 2 yrs ago, the neighbor (86) gave me his Kioti CK30. Nothing is free, had to dump some money into it, but still cheaper than buying same tractor used.

They sure come in handy, both of mine are 30HP.

Noticed your amber fender lights are faded out like mine were and chipped and cracked from age.
Bought a set of these off E-Bay, man are they bright. Check em out.

The JD 950's are Great machines and always had some interest with the Kioti's, but never pulled the trigger.

A free Tractor is awesome!, but it usually ain't out of the goodness of the "sellers" heart, but frustration of a broken/worn unit,

You still save Big money, even with needed parts/repairs list as you work out all the bugs during the first season.

30 HP tractors are about the smallest you would want to go for regular property/farm maintenance tractor.

I appreciate the direction for some nicer parts, they are LEDs it looks like, but the a stock wiring should be fine I would imagine.

They will definately light up things.
Driving down the freeway they throw light across the lane
next to you.
So far Iam the only kid (81) in the neighborhood with them.
Not a lot of the Bull Nose trucks around here.

I was looking for the Amber turn signals, but didn`t want the one`s that turn black, or clear when off, some are the sequential ones which is cool.
Right now my left park light is out again, turn works though.
2nd time this year.
I ordered these couple day`s ago, want to see the size etc... if I
can adapt them into the amber lense w/o it looking hooky.
If I screw up the shroud not big deal plastic tabs are broken off but one . I have a couple good spares.

It was -18 here this morning. My truck didn’t seem to care, fired right up. It seemed happier about the cold than I did, but that would be easy…

Oh and I stumbled across this picture on the internet, I’m just gonna leave it here…

Take you about 15 min to install ;Poke

What do you mean wrong end?
Looks like a 1157 type Socket plug.
Once I get them, I`ll check the size (length/Width) to see how I can
modify them to work...not sure on that. We`ll see.
Haven`t seen a 73 - 79 Dent side to see how big/small they are.

Rock Auto has a sale on close out parts, few days ago ordered 4 of the Felpro rear main seals, around $17. and 4 of the Timkin rear axle Hub Seals, $12. they go for 30 $40 ea.

Noticed they have the front rotor with hub for $43 and something.
Cheaper than O`Really by a long shot.
These should be the right one`s?
Need to replace the whole brake system on the 85 6.9.

This morning I get to open up the passenger door and replace the missing lock rod and broken door lock actuator. Normally the truck never gets locked but gotta take it to town and do the 2xs a month grocery shopping trip since my wife’s suburban is having coil/plug issues and I dont feel like messing with it today. Yes I could walk around and lock it with a key but that gets old. It’s a good feeling knowing the 30year old truck is the most reliable truck we have.
