So what did you do with your truck today?

Yeah, started smelling fuel and then the engine cut out. Probably not a big deal but have had some problems keeping filter snug. This likely explains the recent hard starts and some bubbling around the GPs where the diesel is pooled up

But really surprised it just popped off like this. Everything else seems good far as coolant and oil levels

That’s happened to me before. I think it got a bit loose after warming up. Happened to me last year after I got back from Georgia, my truck had been sitting for two weeks in -20*F. Started up, ran for maybe 15-20 minutes at an idle, and then it died. I at first thought it might be gelled up, even though it had more Power Service than diesel in the tank. Popped the hood, and, well, exactly like what’s in your picture.

Today I went to town to top off the tanks on the truck and to make sure that there's anti gel in them for the upcoming cold snap. I also used it as an excuse to make a date with destiny for the new cat I picked up last Friday. I went into the vet clinic where there was an attractive 20 something lady behind the counter. She asked me what she could help me with and, me being slightly flirty, told her that I had a male cat and I wanted to make an appointment for him to start singing soprano. That did get the hoped for laugh from her so I was happy.
Overall, I didn't really do much, but it was an excuse to get out before basically locking myself in the house for the next several days.

While changing transmission fluid last night, I discovered the front left brake line was rubbing on the coil spring. Hadn't rubbed completely through, but it is close. Guess what I am doing this weekend.

LOL! Love me some Far Side. On the brake theme, I changed out all the springs and pads and cylinder on the back drivers side and everything went smooth. Then I tried to do the passenger side and no way was the brake line going to come out of the cylinder. So I bought a piece of line and a double flare tool and nope, the line was not coming out of the distribution block....neither of them. I had the new flex line and was going to replace it all.....I realized if I broke something, I was down and out with it setting in my driveway. So I buttoned it back up and moved to the front and replaced the disks on both sides. Still have a soft pedal so it is either the flex line or the booster. I think I will take it to a professional that can access the rear lines better then me laying on my back under it. Just put all new lines all the way to the module under the driver if I need to.

I was a little bored. It was about 20* with 20-30MPG winds with gusts of up to 40MPH. I decided to take a little drive. I ended up in Grand Island, NE and something followed me home. Despite that fact that it has some strange, round thing on the front, top side of the engine with big wires coming out of it, don't worry. That part's not for me. All I want is the body. A friend wants the E4OD and transfer case. Another guy wants the 460 and rolling chassis. I'm going to sell the snow plow separately unless the guy wants to give me more money to leave it attached to the frame.
The weather didn't make for the best driving. There was blowing snow most of the way. Some parts of the roads were snow packed, some had some snow on the, some were slushy, some were icy, and yet other places were clear and dry. Crazy!
On the plus side, the Holley blue worked wonderfully. When I paid attention, it kept around 7 PSI down here where it was warmer, around 6 PSI up there with an empty trailer, and the lowest I saw was 5 PSI with the trailer loaded. By the time that I got back home, it was back to 7 PSI. They just don't like pumping cold fuel. It also wasn't a high MPG day so I didn't even attempt to figure it.

If the guy who is buying the frame doesn’t want the snow plow, I might be interested. I’d like to find one for my 94 dump truck

It will probably be yours then.
On another subject, do you happen to know if a radiator core support from a FSuperduty is the same as for a regular pickup? I think that they are, but I don't know for sure.

To my knowledge they’re the same. I know the 92-97 ones are the same. Not too sure why they’d be different in the earlier years, but I don’t know for sure. Can’t imagine what would be different though.

Funny you mention fuel pressure. I put the Facet in and although I haven't driven it yet, it still is under 5 psi at idle. I have not removed the old lift pump yet so maybe that is holding it back. But I noted that the electric pump does not pump up to pressure and shut off. When I shut the truck down and turn the key back on it is ticking away.
Any thoughts on this?

I don't believe that they are supposed to. Diesels, like gas engines with EFI, have a constant fuel flow. To the engine and then back to the tank with what fuel isn't used. My Holley blue doesn't shut off. I could hear it running over my truck's exhaust yesterday, all the way behind the trailer that I was pulling with the plow truck on it. I can also hear it inside my house when the truck's running in the driveway right outside the back door, unless the furnace is on. That's just another reason for a bigger amplifier and more speakers in my truck.

Started my adventure of side jobs.
2010 explorer awd, has raw fuel leaking at engine. Should be easy flip.

How does one handle title and reg for a flip like this? Hope it’s smooth sailing all around though

Dont transfer into my name, provide bill of sale on top of already signed title in my hand. Pretty simple. Trick is never buy a vehicle with lost title
