Love my electric impact. It spun that pitman arm nut off without too much argument once I put a fresh battery on it.
I also tightened up the slip joint in the steering shaft. Reshaped it a hair. Took a ton of slop out of the system. That and the Redhead box it should drive like a new one so long as there's no issues with this one.
Rolled the engine over and it doesn't click like it did anymore. Go figure.
Need to send an email. I think they put stock valve springs. These have white stripes. I think the comp springs had yellow stripes. So maybe they took me a little too serious when I said put it back stock. With the stock cam, stock springs should be fine. I figure this engine is going to stay all stock. If I'm going to build one it will be the other one I have.
I was kinda hoping they put fresh slugs in but it doesn't look like the bottom end was touched at all.
At some point, I'll stick a dial indicator on the torque cam and see if it's reasonably in spec for the next build.
Hopefully it will be ready to stab in by tomorrow night. We will see.
