I also may try using the oxyacetylene torch to heat it up and see if it will knock out. Does anyone happen to know how to remove the rubber bump stop? It’s hard to see but it doesn’t feel riveted but I can seem to get it to unscrew either. I’ve not tried looking it up yet as I’m still working on the other rivets.
So, after drilling a hole in the middle, using the oxyacetylene torch, and purchasing an air compressor and air chisel the rivets still won’t push out. I think drilling them all the way out is my only option left.
Have you tried cutting the heads off with the air chisel? That loosened up mine enough that I could pop them out. Of course, I have a good sized 220v compressor and sustained pressure. If you just have a small compressor that might take forever.
