Hey guys! I recently bought a 1989 ford f350 with the 7.3L idi 4x4 that has 2900 original miles. It came from the Reno Nevada air port and served as a de-icing rig for airplanes. As you can imagine it didn’t get driven much. The odometer reads 02908 with an hr meter attached. It had 8 rear wheels and two axles. The back axle being a tag axle for weight.
At first, I was gonna take it apart and mount a pump hoist rig on it, but after talking with a multiple diesel guys, it would be a disservice for a truck with 2900 miles.
So here I am, Trying to figure what’s she’s worth?$

That's pretty wild..... probably actually not worth much seeing that its not a crew cab long bed dually customized by Centurion..... and then it would have to be pretty as well....next issue is the C6..... its just not popular among those who know.....BUT it is a neat rig and worth owning and making into a VERY dependable truck..... and id definitely call it a "Unicorn "......

Pretty sure you have won the low odometer poker hand there bud.

I don't know how one evaluates equipment, but for example my 93 now has 60k on it, I had it professionally appraised 10-15 years ago when the odometer was probably around 40k, I want to say it appraised at $15-20k if I recall.... the trucks overall condition was "still had oem air in the tires" factory fresh everything.

I cant tell the condition of yours but it looks like a lot of lot rash, condition as much as miles are determining factors.

Nice score, figure to put it in an equipment auction for best return of investment...

I saw that rig on the Marketplace and was tempted but realized it was way more of a project than I could handle for a while. Cool truck though. With the tag axle you might get someone interested in a weird "overland" build. For comparison value there has been a 1989 2wd F350 C&C flatbed with less than 10k miles that has sat on Marketplace for quite a long time and it's priced at about $8500--was an airport vehicle that supposedly had the staircase mounted to it.

Crew cab flat bed would be a good deal more desirable..... i bet it was a C6 though....
