My 84 started knocking about 2yr's ago. It was my daily driver at the time but parked when knock started. I tried to isolate it and it seems to be on #1. I changed all 8 injectors and it still knocks. I was timing my 91 and thought I would check the 84 so I tried the #1 gp hole and It jumped all over the place. I then moved the probe to #4 and all was well. I have since driven it close to home and used it all winter hauling wood around 6,000 miles and runs great other than the knock. Could this be something in the I-pump?
. Maybe I will swap my pump from the 91 on there and baby moose the 91
