I felt this was a good time to repost this great information because some members have been asking how to get in touch with Mel about pumps and injecters. Somebody reciently mentioned that the Bb Delhpi injecters were on back order once again... Might have been Russ or it could have been Mel....:dunno I feel we all should have a spare set for that just in case issue of Delphi deciding to never make any more of them. I know that day is coming but just don't know when. Having 4 or 5 sets would be a lifetime supply for our engines....:sly

IIRC the Super Moose pumps are one-off pump builds that are tailored to a person's specific needs, but hopefully Mel will pop in and clarify...

I don't have the Super Moose listed, simply because I haven't sold any. As you all are aware, there is a lot of debate as to the viability of commercially profitable pumps that cater to a select few. When you start talking about $1500, you don't hear much other than crickets.

Soaked it for a few days...the injector cup came out with it. I tapped it with a brass punch but I screwed up the top of the injector. I suppose I'll be buying one...

Gary, would a bad seal at the copper washer let combustion past and cause an injector to get stuck like that?
If so, could that be from not cleaning out the injector bore during a replacement?

This is on a dt466 the idis don't have an injector cup. I think it was a combination of compression leak and water past the top seal causing the injector to rust.

I dont know what it would cost to have an advertizers/sponsor banner at the top of the page, but I would think that would make it easy.
