In the process of re plumbing my intake system right now, and I am using some 1" hydraulic hose for the cdr from the IP cover. I have the banks IP cover adapter, and I have no clue why but the nipple on it isn't barbed, so I've gotten nucklebusters to hell trying to get this damn thing on. Used all sorts of greases, carb cleaner etc, still no dice, it just wants to slip off. Is the IP cover not truly 1"? I had no trouble getting the hose on barbed nipples.
Appreciate any help

Are you saying the hose is slightly small or is it a loose fit?

I keep a heat gun around just for this very reason when I’m working with hoses, usually any kind and any size. Heatgun and gloves.

A blow dryer on high works too. Or dunk the end of the hose into a cup of near boiling water to heat it up.
