Well haven't posted anything about the build in quite some time figured I'd make a new thread, the progress has been very slow, but its coming along. Since my last thread:

-Installed Front and Rear Diffs (along with replacing every U-Joint, Bearing, and Seal I possibly could)
-New Front Shackles/Bushings, and front diff pivot bushings
-Installed 4" Rough Country Lift Kit + 35" Open Countrys & Rims
-Fabbed 3" Downpipe, and 4" exhaust (also picked up to 5" Chrome mitres, and a ton of 5" elbows for crossover)
-Installed Rad Support, Rad, Hoses,Trans Cooler, A/C Cooler, Fan + Belt, A/C Pump, Alternator, Powersteering, etc.
-Brand new Bosch Starter
-Drained diesel, flushed twice, new fuel filter/water seperator, added half a bottle of Cetane boost + Sea Foam for good luck LOL
-Installed ARP Head studs
-2 new Exide Batteries + All new cable ends
-Sandblasted & Painted exhaust manifolds + New Gaskets (need to extract a broken stud from the block now...)
-MOOSE Pump on order, should be shipped out to me this week (Thanks Mel!)

Can't Wait to get a cab on, hook up the wiring and drive it around a bit before body work! Especially excited about the addition of the Moose Pump!

After driving a buddies 06' Dmax with upwards of 800HP all day yesterday, I am very anxious to get my diesel finished!

What turbo are you going to upgrade to and how much boost do you plan to run when all is said and done? I'm just curious cus I have never seen a Moose fuel system maxed out and run at high boost. It would be cool to see that and then see it dynoed. :D Also have you thought of upgrading the cam at all? Btw nice looking truck too.

Not sure on the turbo yet, maybe just an upgraded compressor wheel.. But with how I have the wastegate shortened I can touch on 15 psi boost. I also thought about a typ4 cam, and then there's crazy idea's of shaving pistons.. Doing the heads. Just want to prove to everybody that you can make power with an IDI... Because I took a lot of grief from people during my build being told that it was stupid building up a gutlass old mechanical diesel. But getting crazy with it is all down the road when I get on my feet, nothin to do on a highschool, now college budget. I'm going to school for automotive tech, and then might go back for a year of auto diesel tech, so I'll be spending my funds on Snap-ON tools! :sly

I don't think its half, but definately looking forward to the discount. I picked up a used Snap-On box a few months ago. I have since removed the chevy decals..

That was my highschool build, when I was 16. 99' Sierra Classic that I picked up at an auction for $1800 with a rebuilt motor with 60k on it. Added 3" Body lift, 2" susp lift, 305/70s, dual 2 1/2" exhaust, shorty headers, K&N intake, and replaced brakes, rear diff, rad, water pump, distributor, wheel bearings, etc etc... The funnest truck to drive, and hooked it up with a wicked sound system also. Teenagers...

Enough women rode in the middle seat, lots of good memories in it, and only let me down once. I'll never part with it.

I like the lift, 4" is a nice height. It still looks plenty high but its still very usable for fifth wheel towing. Only thing is with the lift springs the angle of the Twin Trac beam in the front is much different making the front wheel toe'd in quite a bit. Now maybe there is some adjustment on that, if someone wanted to chime in. But will definately put in a solid front axle as soon as I find one. As far as the ride, well.. It rides like a 3/4 ton ford. Was by no means expecting a IFS ride, but with the long base it is very stable and follows the road well even before wheel alignment.
