Thank you. It’s 99% there, I’ve got the 5 speed, Dana 60 and everything mechanical done. This winter it gets the repower and then it’ll be what I’ve wanted for a long time.

Is yours a lariat also?

Yes sir. I really enjoy how luxurious it is. Sometimes I forget that these are so “fully loaded”. The bucket seats are awesome

That's about what I had to pay for the Ex Wife last month, but... That was the first time tagging it so I had to pay property tax, plus the registration fee. Then someone just HAD to get personalized plates for this truck too so that added $45.50 to the cost. I'm not going to mention who that guy was.

Those pesky hackers man. Every time I go on eBay, somebody (probably a random person) ends up adding more to the cart than I originally intended

Some more background on the engine I bought. It’s a 94 turbo engine so it has all the good stuff. It comes with the turbo kit. The guy swapped it into a bumpside highboy, and now he’s pulling it to put a 7.3 psd in it. How rad is that!? My friend is in need of a turbo kit so I’m gonna clean it all up and sell it to him. It has roughly 250k on it. It doesn’t burn oil or anything like that and the blow by looked about The same as my 6.9.

like I said I don’t really have any initial plans other than at some point I want to put it in my truck. I don’t really want to rebuild an engine right now either so I’m not super set of starting anything yet. It’s just been super hard for me to find a turbo engine here in California for a non-outrageous price so when I saw this one I had to jump on it. Hell maybe all it needs is are some rings and bearings, but if not I’m not gonna sweat it LOL

Was the guy driving the truck with this engine in it? If so, why do you think that it needs to be gone through at all? Did he do anything to it before putting it in the Bump Side?

Yeah he drives it every day. I was just saying as far as for Peace of mind with how many miles it has. I will definitely be studding it.
It might not need anything at all, but if it is going in place of my 6.9 I’d just want to be sure it will last a solid amount of time, you know?

Averaged 14 mpg with 75% city and 25% freeway. Just filled up for 3.99 a gallon, and that’s cheap! #california

Gosh I wish California wasn’t so expensive. Its so nice to be able to drive an hour in each direction and either see an ocean or the mountains.

Egts are around 650-750 doing 70 on the freeway and about 6 psi of boost now after timing. I noticed that it seems like it has less low end but pulls harder in the mid-higher range of rpm’s. I’m excited to see what kinda fuel mileage I’ll get out of it
