I have a 13 and a 7 coming next week. I’ll just play with it a little lol

Yep a 7 is what I'm running on my 250 because it has a pinhole leak somewhere and I can't afford another radiator now lol.

Just a reminder to all in case you were not aware -

1) It is ok to use a lesser PSI rated cap in a pinch. (I will remember Chillman's trick if I ever spring a little leak.)
2) It is not ok to use a higher PSI rated cap in a pinch. (Could blow a headgasket, other gasket, or a hose.)
3) The higher the PSI, the higher the boiling point of the coolant. So a 5psi cap is going to let the coolant system boil over sooner, than a 13psi cap.

Now with that all said if you have run say a 7psi cap for years, not suggesting you put a 13psi in its place. If you do you could find that leak that is just ready to go. Worse find your head gasket was compromised and 6 more PSI finally pushed through and did it in.

So Monday or Tuesday we will be taking the boats out. I think the lake is about an hour from here. There isn’t really any steep hills or anything like that plus our boat is pretty light.

The reason that the coolant bubbling in the overflow freaks me out is because when the head gasket went (and it was very obviously blown) it did this but much more extreme. My thing is that I’m sure what I’m seeing is not a head gasket and it’s probably not related to that in the slightest but I’m a very anxious person by nature and I just automatically assume the worst. I don’t mean to get personal or anything like that but I actually have a hard time with mechanical things sometimes just because of that.

So here’s a cool picture of the boat.

I’m glad you get it! I’ve been trying to work on it. I found that when something happens it’s best for me to take a minute and kinda just do something else. Then I can come back to it without tripping to hard LOL

Exactly. Sometimes leaving it until tomorrow is the BEST way to fix it LOL
