We just got about 5" of snow and that was enough to help me remember how to use my snow shovel. I've seen enough. Actually, it was pretty surprising. This has been the most moisture that we've had since the first part of last August. All of the storms have been going just to the north or just to the south of us.

This will be our first big real storm too. I think the most we have ever got all at one time before was 3.5 feet. This storm looks like it will be setting some records. They are also saying 50+ mph wind with 70+ mph ridge winds

Same here, they said it was supposed to be a good storm, and everyone was stocking up on stuff like crazy, then all we got last night was some ice, but it is all slush now.

We've been getting A LOT of wind lately here. Maybe not gusts of 70MPH, but 60 isn't unheard of. During the last big windstorm, it came up overnight. The next morning happened to be trash day. I was taking my trash out to the curb when it was just barely light outside. I looked in the empty lot next to my house, saw a big something laying in the grass, and thought "great. Someone's trash is already blowing around". Then, when I was leaving to go to work about 30 minutes later, I walked outside and saw that it was my lawn mower hood. Whoops. I guess it wasn't trash and it was mine. It doesn't latch down and doesn't fit really well since it's not the right one. I drug it up next to my house and went on to work.

Sanded the cobalt layer and sprayed on my first layer of Royal Blue. A little darker but also in a professional formula that sprays easier, comes in 15oz instead of 11oz, covers larger area, doesnt splatter. Planning on firing the truck up this coming weekend.

my moms car went for inspection today and it passed but they had to put a new water pump on it cause "there was a coolant leak from the water pump" even though the car never had over heating problems and there was no signs of a leak on the garage floor where my mom always parks her car.

i hate the damn stealerships

They could have been ripping her off but there's also the possibility they just caught it early. If it was just barely seeping you wouldn't have noticed it until it got worse. That's always been how mine start going is the seal leaking through the weep hole.

That said I've got my fair share of dealership scam stories, as I'm sure we all do. Last vehicle we had at a dealership was my dad's car for a coolant line replacement. They said they couldn't find any leaks and he went to pick it up and it overheated on the way home because it was out of coolant

My mom's subaru went to the local shop for inspection, and long story short , the guy wanted $1700 because the headlights were fogged up. A couple days before this, my dad brought his truck in for inspection, and told the guy that the exaust has a leak. So the "mechanic" looked at the tailpipe and said "you are gonna need an entire new exhaust system". BTW, the reason it leaked was because one of the mounts ripped out of the pipe leaving a big hole in the pipe. I was riding with my dad when it got ripped off, and it sounded like a straight pipe. I don't know how guys like that stay in business.

Today seemed a little like Christmas. First, I got in a new set of four wheeler tires (careful, I'm going to ruin my reputation for three wheelers). Never mind the TV that's sitting behind it. That's going in my camper and the box on top is some stuff that I'm supposed to put on someone else's four wheeler. And yes, part of my inspection team was in high gear again. Next came my Luk SMF conversion kit. That friggin cat was more excited about that than I was. He wouldn't stop sniffing it. Then I opened what I hope to cut up and use for the bottom part of my first gen Banks down pipe soon. I couldn't let the four wheeler purchase go by itself so I bought a ugly, used gas tank for a three wheeler. Finally, not very exciting, but also fairly necessary, a 6 pack of furnace filters.

Those are good tires you got right there! I had a set of those on my side by side, and the traction was unbelievable.
