When I get the new intake finished i'll post some pics of that and the CDD push button glow plug setup. I had a small custom toggle switch panel made from wiringproducts.com for the glow plugs and cold advance.

Questions:

Anyone know what the 4 pin relay thing does on the IP wiring harness?

right now I’m basically reconstructing that harness. The glow plug wires melted the connector and the wires on the harness had been poorly spliced in several places. I made a switch panel in the cab for cold advance and a push button for the glow plugs. Not using the cold high-idle (solenoid broke and I do not need it). That relay I am guessing is just a switch for the cold circuit. But that wiring loom is so stout I can’t really pull the whole thing apart easily and trace the wires.

I assume that feeding the shutoff solenoid +12v allows the engine to run, and feeding the cold advance +12v turns that on as well

If you're asking about what I think you are asking about, the little black 1" square block with 4 wires going to it hanging from the harness near the fuel tower/IP wiring is the WIF module. It senses any water in your fuel bowl and turns on the light on the dash. The fuel heater circuit is separate from this and has power whenever the ignition is on so if you leave/cut it off, be sure to seal/cap the end so there's not battery voltage rattling around unprotected under the hood.

Can't tell for sure but it looks like a clamp might be missing on the front end of the CDR tube, going into the front of the pump gear cover.

Truck was off the road for some time, had to send the turbo back to Russ, it wasn’t making as much boost as it should. Turns out some gasket junk made its way down the Y pipe when I pulled the heads.

Turbo back on, truck is driving very well. Heck the AC and everything still works. Now I can focus on other things. Just ordered replacement fuel senders for both tanks. Also ordered a speedometer drive gear as I think the worm gear inside the transfer case is worn out. It skips around despite having a new cable and small gear.

so over the next few weeks going to take care of that stuff.

BTW any tips on installing a new vent window gasket? I could not find OEM so had to order aftermarket off rock auto. I tried this once before and didn’t go so well, I ripped the drivers side and it makes a bunch of wind noise, so have to do that over.
