Whine from the timing pump gear cover

Recently I replaced the engine. The new to me 7.3 rattled out the IP timing gear bolts. I could see not only the wear on the cover
You must be registered for see images attach
but some aluminum oil past around the cover. I replaced the pump and used thread lock. I hear this whine now

Also, I notice play in the gear. What could be going on with the timing gear?

It's perfectly normal.
Thanks for the reassurance. I'm kind of new to these. And the old engine didn't do that nearly so noticeably which makes me wonder why the differences in lash
I imagine the aluminum paste was a due to the gear being pushed backwards against the case. or I could have mistaken steel for aluminum.

Screw the oil fill plug back in & close the hood so you don't here the noise. :idiot:

Needs more silicone on the cover for a gooood seal

I don’t think it’s good my IP bolts came lose. You guys go ahead and trivialize this. But I’l take the advice for now
