Trans or transfer case

Hi guys I have a new autozone trans I put in...today hauling stone I had to really give it gas to get out of drive the shifter seems it's not hitting the gears in the trans someone said it's mt tc burned up but how do I know it's not my new trans?? Truck won't move now

From what I'm getting. Sounds like the tranny fried. Fluid level low.? Does the fluid look and smell burnt.

Fluid is good and still red had some shavings on the stick..

If you have metal shavings, you broke something. Or something broke all by itself. Your choice...

Did you use a new tc?
And did you flush the cooling system?

The tranny should be able to move the vehicle with the VRV out of adjustment. No movement, something broke internally

Ok guys I got the truck home had to put it in 4x4 the hubs were not locked in but I got it home. My friend is saying the transfer case??

It probably is the transfer case, if 4 wheel drive is needed to move it.

Ok guys was some metal in the trans case it seemed fine however just some small wear on the gear teeth. However dropped the pan on the new trans the fluid stunk and this is what the pan had in it
