Funny how Rock Auto wants $27.99 to ship one and $160.99 to ship the other. That's just crazy! I think that their shipping methods are starting to give the business a bad reputation. At least they are for me.

I've seen this kind of discrepancy before with rockauto. Clutch/flywheels, rads, and USA Gear products.

I have a feeling that low-rate freight is when the supplier ships direct. $160 is more like what I paid for radiator freight. It still beat local supply pricing by a longshot.

My truck has had the champion 3 core in it since I bought it. Works great and has been solid, plus they are very affordable

I had assumed that just meant that the warehouse they were shipping from was down the street from me as opposed to the other side of the USA

I'd love to put a Champion in it since that's what everyone recommends but unfortunately they don't fit the vans from what I've been able to find o_O

I don't know if this is an option or not as I'm not very familiar with vans, but on my old race car I upgraded to an aluminum radiator that had the same height and width, and had a very capable welded move the ports in the end cap to fit my car. It might not be that simple, but if you can find a Champion or maybe another aluminum radiator that's made for a diesel, you might be able to have a local welder adjust your inlet and outlet to make it work.

Best of luck. IDIs are getting rarer these days, and IDI vans were pretty rare when they were new, so you have to get resourceful and/or willing to pay for some wear items like radiators.

Good luck whichever path you decide to take.

Just an FYI, the F-350 radiators fit the E-350s for the same year/diesel. I use the aluminum champion for an F-350.
