So how do you fit these "stock lower compression pistons for the 7.3L with large pins" to your con rods? Can you just oversize the rod?

Think the castings are different between the Naturally asperated and the 93-94 only Factory turbo rods.Larger top section but I could be wrong.Would be nice if you could just machine standard rods to accept the 33MM pin.

The turbo (big pin 33mm) rods will fit the 6.9 motor and are available thru Ford and probably International too. The Ford part number is F4TZ-6Y200-AARM and the casting number on the rod is 1816619C1. They vary in weight from about 1274 grams to about 1278 grams so have them balanced. These are the turbo IDI rods. The turbo DI (powerstroke) rods are the same large pin size (33mm) and the bottom end are the same butt... The bottom end is .132 thousands wider so it wont fit. Don't even think about blanchard grinding both sides of the bottom end to fit the idi crank. You wont have enough meat left to hold the rod bolts in place. Now, if you could get a set of powerstroke rods that weren't drilled yet for rod bolts might be a neat wish list thing. So, Who wants to find out who makes these rods and buy a set that has not been drilled yet??? ;Sweet
