Hey guys thought I would post something for the s&g's. Anyone timed there trucks 0-60? I know it's rather a joke more than anything but kinda interesting lol. Had my bro time mine the other day and hit 60 in just under 9 seconds. What times are you guys "running"?

Hopefully I can get a video sometime soon. When I build boost the truck takes off quicker than I'd expect, that is if i can keep the tires gripped to the ground. i was expecting around the 15-16s mark and it blew my mind when it was under 10s.

I think last summer sometime i ran like a 10.8 0-60 time....that was getting on it hard from a dig but not WOT from a dig, then just matting it once i got rolling. factory turbo with 3" exh outlet, 3" DP, 60-1 cold wheel, 4" intake, R&D IDI 90cc pump and efuel. that was running with a massive boost leak i have yet to fix also. that will hopefully be getting fixed soon.

on the average, my IDI's will do 0-60 just a little faster than warm molasses would run.
honestly, these trucks aren't even in my top 20 vehicles to choose from for 0-60 times.
what they will do very well is to pull loads efficiently and economically in real-world scenarios.
I've depended on mime to do just that since 1993.

By the time I get to sixty, I usually have forgotten I was timing myself.....

No, seriously, just kidding. I do pretty well for a truck that is at 6750 pounds.

Non intercooled, thinking about trying it again. have
intercooler now and improved overall boost.

This is something I have never tried but maybe someday I will. I'm thinking a crewcab and 3:55 gears will be slow but who really knows for sure with all the work in my engine. I may try it just before I swap the gears to 3:73. then try it again to see the difference.

I timed mine 0-100kph (~0-60mph) before and after changing my IP; I did this only to see if I could measure a performance change going to the new pump. With the old pump I was pretty consistent at 19 seconds. New pump 19 seconds. :dunno

I never thought about it before. I always say that these trucks won't win any drag races. Although there has been this turtle giving me the evil eye at stop lights lately. I might give him a try.

0-60 times are a great reference if you can do them consistently and without legal interference. I am right at 9 seconds. I can hit 60 at the top of 3rd with 4:10's, that helps.
