Is the cold advance solenoid working? It advances the timing about 3* when the engine temp is under 120* F.
These engines do not need that to start up.

It can really help especially when hot, it drops the housing pressure and helps the plungers move further out since transfer pressure is null in a worn out pump at really low rpms (cranking speed)These engines do not need that to start up.

No!
Still needs ether to start up!!!
I have no leaks from filter to injectors.glow plugs are cycling I hear I click of in about 30-45 seconds like normal. When it fires up it is smooth no hesitation, plenty of power. Cruises down the road great. With the new fuel system now it runs better then it ever did! If I give it wide open throttle the filter light does not come. No stumbles no misses go fuel economy. What the hell is going on here!!! I run a Duralift electric pump in the engine bay. Fuel pressure gauge is 9-12 psi at idle cruising is around 3-4psi wide open throttle 1.5-2psi. Could be something moth my tanks? Selector valve sucking air anything else bad fuel filter? Help please?!

Who do I text to find that out?Chris, You said you could hear the glow plug solenoid cycling. Did you ever text to make sure the glow plugs where getting voltage?
