i usually have a pre filter mechanical pressure gauge , and then run a electric fuel pressure gauge in the cab after the filter.
tells me everything ill ever need to know.
Almost everything. All you know there is the pressure at the inlet of the pump and pressure drop across the filter. Is 0 psi at the inlet affecting the pressure after the internal transfer pump that is the real question.

Like your hands on, do as you like, l simply assed an electric fuel pump to prime my old goat cause sh has bleed back issues but will still run 110 on I 10 which I did 2 days ago heehee !
sounds like a maintenance issue to me LOL

i have a 85 F350 dumptruck that i dont start for months at a time, and it fires right up every time first rip.

Ok
Whatever you want.
Gauges suck yea ok....
So you could possibly educate us all With a Mega dollar computer driven system to monitor the system
( powerstroke much?)

The dude said that the 2 gauges in
" combination "
Catch that part?
Give him
"all I need to know"
That is all.
Back to my rock....

The Chrysler turbo encabulator is what our trucks need to actually produce power. My truck will only make heat and noise.......it would also help if we had modified rebuildable BBC fuel pumps too!

That's an idea @IDIoit , you can call the fuel pump "diesel encabulator"

I have an old refrigerator that I modified for hatching chicken eggs that I call "The Refrigabator".

What is your exactly is your goal for installing the a higher flow pump? Is it just a number a psi on a gauge? If so congrates.
My guess is that the goal here is to have a reliable, high output mechanical lift pump that can easily be rebuilt instead of having to replace it when it eventually fails. Not to mention it being comparatively affordable.

the goal is to have a mechanical pump that can actually keep up to a 110 cc IP.
affordable and rebuildable.
the factory style lift pump couldnt keep up with my 90 cc IP on a turbo engine.
and im not the only one thats swapped to a electric pump because of this.
but im about to build a IDI powered 1928 Buick and i do not want a electric pump.

got the idea of making an arm work for these pumps on engine masters where a 170 gph mechanical pump sustained 1000 hp on dyno runs.

Its not about the pressure, it's about the volume of fuel. Over pressure can actually tweak with fuel timing.

I'm DEFINITELY impatient to see this build!
i am getting really impatient myself LOL
ive had lots of luck collecting hotrods lately.

it may be a little off subject, but here are the ones ive picked up.
the first one is my 1930 olds i built back in 2004
1928 pontiac roadster
1930 chevy 4 door sedan.
and you already saw the buick
noone wants to build these GM;s anymore because of the lack of inner structure.
but ill take em!
and they are cheap!!!!
the olds i traded a locked up SBC 010 block. for.
the chevy i bartered for
the pontiac, i traded a 47 M35 that was roached for.
and the buick, i paid $58.00
