A returning regulator is one that returns part of the fuel back to the tank. No wiring involved, just plumbing.

Walbro Industrial E-Lift Pumps. Made in Michigan. Has pressures and flow rates for whatever you think you may need- even though it sounds like a standard FRB-13 will more than meet your needs. Easily the most dependable unit out there, and if you want even MORE dependability, get the Industrial & Marine version. And yes, they are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Would that work with a factory dual tank setup? Most 'performance' ones I see require higher return volume than the stock switching valve can carry, and I'd prefer to keep the old dual tank setup rather than one big rear tank.

I had a couple of those, they sure didn’t last very long. But I had the same short-lived experience with the Holley pumps.

What I have found to work best is to use a 7.3 Powerstroke stock fuel lift pump, and a fuel pressure regulator.

Justin at R&D makes these kits, I have one that I am planning on putting on one of my trucks.

And this…

These also exist…

Food for thought.

i havnt gotten the 110 gph mechanical pump back yet from the kid that ran it, i think i screwed up the arm placement when i put it back together.
it wasnt pumping.
i just havnt spent any more time on it.
no, none forsale.

HOLLEY PUMPS.

if youre a low boost stock type turbo set up with up to a 90 cc IP i run a Red without a regulator.

for anything a step up, run the holley blue with a regulator w/o return.

anything crazy, youre gonna want a black. w/ regulator.

that said...

i run a RD4-150 with a holley black with a regulator ran wide open.
140 gph @ 14 psi.

yes i have 14 psi at the pump. be mindful tho, with the increased pressure it will change your timing.
time your engine accordingly

Hi in the Cascades, Nearly- Redmond,Oregon
@KansasIDI that 6 port valve looks good!

And Well for what it's worth I've been running a Holly Red, no regulator for years. Also ran a Holly Blue for long time and no regulator also.
Got a Caterpillar water trap/screen filter mounted just after my FSV, then the Holly Red, then on up to my FS1212 spin-on fuel filter up in engine compartment. Have a block-off plate on my mechanical fuel pump opening and also added an inline check valve along about same area.
I have a 135 gal bed tank along with my factory front tank and a 38 gal Bronco Tank F26E (that got puffed up to about 46-48 gal during instillation, puffed up by magic I guess)
I also added a (don't remember for sure) 2 or3 port electric (Bad nasty word but I'll go ahead and say it here......CHEVY 2-3 port electric FSV) into my inlet line coming from my bed tank.

Anyway with all this I also added a manual 4 port valve that I ordered from some marine/boat supply place. It has an inlet with 3 outlets. Which ever tank I'm pulling from I can return to any of my 3 tanks that I choose to with this manual valve.
That way I can pull fuel from each of my 3 tanks and can return fuel back to any tank I choose to, using the manual 4 port valve.
And like I say i'm running a Holly Red for years, have run Holly Blue lots also, and none of them with regulators.
