I have been looking at those pesky slip fit pipes and know they can leak like crazy. I'm pondering at getting some V bands and welding them on to get rid of that weak link in the system.

i thought about doing this also.
but Russ has updated castings!!!(up pipe my OEM 093 has a v-band down pipe.)
he tells me that they will not leak.
and i really dont want to weld to cast iron.
i will post back when i get them installed.

You can expand the pipes to fit tighter in the exhaust snail which would be an easy fix. My up-pipe does not fit snug in the exhaust snail housing and does not leak. But they do need to be pushed all the way up until it hits the stopper in the cast.

I know that the original instructions say apply a generous amount of anti seize to the ends. I will try applying anti seize to the ends first and hope for the best that it will seal up.
