I recognize the air box...the air box is from an early non-gated ATS turbo (I think it's an 085, but I'm not 100% certain). I haven't seen the rest of an 085 kit close-up, so I can't say for sure if the entire kit's an 085 setup or not.

That's an ATS 085 airbox but not the standard exhaust housing for the 085. Interesting setup.

that is identical to my 085 kit. That fat up pipe is actually the upper part of the down pipe. It slides into that groove that you can see on the outlet side of the ex housing.

They must have had a few variations then.
Here's the one on Mater. The exhaust housing inlet and outlet ports are one cast oddball piece and the downpipe slides on as on the 093's.

I always assumed that was the 088? Maybe I have been confused?

I've got the same rectangle box as well.

On edit.
Wonder if I've got an early 088 ******* kit. May explain why the truck runs like a scalded dog.

I have had both the 085 and 088, and the airboxes were interchangeable. The 085 kit is nice in the way that it is easy to stick another turbo (bigger, better) in there, but it is a total pain to deal with installing or working on the kit. The 088 is way easy to install.

Performance of both kits was really good, especially after wrapping the up pipes and building a heat deal for around the turbine housing. I have been able to get 15psi+ out of both of them.

Ron I wonder because I met a guy who came in for a paint job. He had the ats with that box and the snail was alot smaller your snail looks like my 088 kit.

That would make perfect sense to me...certainly, the "snailshell" style exhaust housing is identical to every 088 kit I've ever seen (including the one on my truck). I didn't think that ATS would have sent out "hybrid" kits like that; I had just assumed someone had swapped the 088 box for the 085 box before you had gotten a hold of the kit...but, in any event, to my eye your kit looks like an 088 kit except the box...
