Hey fellas, in 28 years out of 30, my 1988 7.3 never Jelled the Fuel until our bitter cold SE-PA winter in 2015. A quick call to Mel suggested I put a Heat Gun at the main line going into my Baby Moose Pump (I named that Pump lol) and sure enough that got her running.
For the rest of that winter and proceeding winters (including this one) I've been using Power Service Diesel Kleen in the 'White' Bottle 1-oz of PS to 3 gallons Fuel with no more gelling issues. The White Anti Gel Bottle now states it also raises Cetane levels (never mentioned that years ago).
No local Truck Stops around me so I'm kind of stuck with what my local Auto Stores and Walmart sells.
At my Walmart I'm seeing other options a little less expensive than Power Service and wondering how they perform vs Power Service?
*Howes Lubricator Diesel Treat "no gelling Guaranteed" (I don't believe it boosts Cetane boost)
*Lucas Anti Gel
***Stanadyne is not available unless I travel to a large Truck repair shop.
Any feedback about about Howes and/or Lucas...thanks, Ray
BTW...I STOPPED using 2-stroke Walmarts Supertech TCW3 (one oz per gallon of fuel) in my fuel a few years ago.
