Have you looked at the shifter position for the ZF in the trans tunnel? In our 71 we are gonna have to make a cover for the factory position for the 3 speed and cut a hole further back in the tunnel, just don't know where yet.
He has to choose if he wants to do a bunch of modifications under the dash and the firewall for the clutch master cylinder, or do modifications under the truck for the mechanical linkage.
You never know, he might run into problems like Ford did, his firewall may not be strong enough to hold the hydraulic master.
You can do a lot with the bellcrank you have now. Cut the arm and move it over to miss the exhaust, and make a beefy rod with a offset to miss the zf casting boss. Never done it before, just thinking out loud. You will have to stare at it awhile and make your mind up.
Yeah I am going to set the cab on and see what can be done. I will need help moving the cab, will need a few buddys to help me. I know others have used mechanical linkage, and I like the simplicity of mechanical. I don't want more hydraulic stuff that can fail.
