I am not at the Rally and I am regretting it.:( I have a small problem that all you slackers might be able to help with though... I am trying to order an IP from Conestoga; I sent an email and phoned but no answer. I am not sure if they are open now or not?

Anyway, please take Mel's beer away and pass the message "take my money!" My truck is in trouble (hot start):) I need to order ASAP.
Not a "diesel down" emergency but I don't think it is fair for someone to be vacationing when an IDI needs parts :rotflmao

I think they're leaving tomorrow? That'd mean he should be there Friday lol

Well folks another one is in the books. As we reflect on having this one in the rear view mirror, I wanted to say thanks to all that came out. I sure had a great week with you all.

And I wanted to give a HUGE shout out to Mike and Amanda for really putting together an outstanding rally. I got billing as co-host, but make no mistake, Mike and Amanda did more than the lions share of the work. I really thought they did a great job and gave us all some amazing lifetime memories.

Here is a slide show I threw together to capture some of the highlights. Looking forward to next year!

Ok first sorry to Alex cause it looks like I totally cut him off [emoji33] (we call it the Jersey Slide)

And the little video of his truck going home with the trailer made me grin. These pigs aren't for the faint of heart haha

Poor Alex. I couldn't help but laugh at your triple clip of the "moment of carnage"

Big red runs pretty good! What kind of elevation were y’all at? I’m at ~1500ft and I ran 11.0 @64 mph in the shop truck but I bet y’all were higher up than me. Any issues with axle wrap when you took off?

Edit: here’s my best time slip from when I last ran

Lots of wheel hop issues. Quickest ET was @tjsea . He was in the 10’s but in 4wd so much better traction while it lasted. LOL

It’s about 1300 feet there. Traction/wheel hop and rowing gears were the main hindrance. Oh and the truck bed full of firewood. Yeah that probably didn’t help my time slips either.

LOL

That’s surprising you had issues with wheel hop even with the weight in the bed. Why didn’t you use 4wd? Didn’t like the look of the tc carnage LOL

You got any plans for traction bars for big red? I need to put some together for the shop truck bad, wouldn’t mind having a design to copy:rolleyes:

I’m really glad I didn’t go for a 4wd pull. I’m nervous enough about the health of my tcase. After seeing the insides of one, that’s got to be the dumbest thing I’ve seen. Better go to low range if you are going to pull on anything hard.

Honestly no I’m not planning traction bars. This will probably be the only time she goes down a race track. I’ve only had it wheel hop bad on me one other time. I’m pretty sure the ass end was totally off the ground that time. I don’t know how I didn’t break something that time.

It runs pretty good though. There was probably better than a half ton of firewood in the back. The D60 in the front is heavier. I don’t remember what your shop truck is but I was probably heavier than it was.

You’re definitely making more power to run that at your weight, the shop truck is an obs ex cab 2wd zf5, but the only run I’ve made on it was with a severe boost leak, that’s fixed and it’s got a lot more fuel and better tune up now, hoping for low 16s in the quarter and break into the 9s in the eighth
