For what it's worth, I just hit a deer in mine about a month ago. It messed up my bumper and grill. I pulled the bumper to see if there was any other damage and found the frame bent and cracked in the same place yours is (but not as bad). The leafs and hangars were bent too. Insurance didn't total it out and wrote me a check to have the frame swapped. You have much more damage than I did but they valued my truck at $5500 (94 IDIT with 175k, auto trans 4x4, extended cab xlt). So they wrote me a check for $4100.

I was also going to say I have an 86 cclb you could have once I'm done pulling the axles (for the frame), but your profile says you're in Texas and I'm in Washington.
Thanks for the info, the insurance adjuster is coming out today to look at the truck, kbb has the truck valued at 3,100-3,800 which seems way off. Not lookin great but we'll know for sure soon.

Also, if they value it too low, my adjuster said to print comps off from autotrader that are within 100-200 miles so you can have some proof of the value of your vehicle. My KBB value was much lower than their appraised value as well.

Nada shows $4400-7000 looked up local autotrader listings found two similar trucks that are both autos instead of his standard. One listed at $7000 and the other at $10,000

The $10,000 dollar one is funny. He either is a kid or he is hoping to sell to a kid who doesn't understand it is an IDI and not a PowerStroke. It is a nice looking truck, just overpriced.

My leads actually aren't bent. Only 1 shackle was bent. Frame has no cracks just bent. So hopeully that'll make a difference!

I think that part of the frame is designed to crumple to help absorb impacts. If you mounted a front hitch receiver it would make it more sturdy. Could then throw a winch on the front or use the front to move trailers, etc

Good luck, its looking good from here!

Thanks man I appreciate it. I plan on taking some 3/16" steel and doing a bumper design I've done for several clients throughout the years. Basically it consists of a 3/16" body of the bumper and 1/4" flat bar on the inside as stiffeners, D-rings welded on the back, hitch receiver in the center, its gonna be sweet. And I have all the material except the d rings which I always get 8 of them for 30 bucks on Amazon. Even if that section of the bumper isn't perfectly straight but close enough, I can compensate with the bumper to make it look straight.

If you look for my thread on my accident you can see the damage my truck took. The other drivers insurance company totaled out my truck and gave me $8100 bucks and let me keep the truck. you got low balled by insurance in my opinion.

I agree 100% granted mine needs a new dash and a new headliner amongst other cosmetic things. How many miles did yours have on it and what insurance company?

So today I got the word that the field appraiser decided to total it. Now I have a friend that has worked for USAA for like 20 something years that have me pointers and actually looked up the claim to take a look at it. He agrees with me that the field appraiser that came out was an idiot and had no clue what he was doing. So now I'm just trying to get ahold of the claims adjuster to work my case. Basically they valued my truck at about 5k (ridiculous) and said damages would cost about 4680 to repair (absolutely Frekin retarded) the reason the repairs are thought to be so high is because in his report the claims adjuster include EVERY minor flaw in the entire truck saying it was all related to the accident and would need repair..... Because apparently a cracked tail light housing and had headliner was caused by a front end collision  either way, even if I can't get them to not total it and she gets a salvage title, I'm gonna keep her.
