Whats a good brand that fits our trucks well?
Whats a good brand that fits our trucks well?
Know a good source on where to get the insulation and vinyl? Never done a floor install on a vehical.I rip it all out, then insulate the heck out of the floor and put in new jute the vinyl floor no carpet. I don’t like floor mats. But weather tech stopped making them for our trucks so now it’s huskey (pretty affordable) or 3dmatusa. But they are way up in price.
This should be the first thing every one does when they get an old car/truck. I can’t encourage people enough to tear out the seats and floor covering and inspect the floor, repair, do what ever is needed and cover in dynamat or other fake products. It makes such a difference. Even if you re-install your original carpet or vinyl. I all ways get a new vinyl liner. So much easier to clean. But we spend most of our time in dirt and mud so carpet doesn’t work very well. Here is another "Floor Mat" thread.

Floor mats
Anyone have any weather tech or "fitted" style floor mats that fit and conform to the front seats on brick nose or obs trucks? All the generic ones are bad in all the wrong places. Don't cover areas you want or too thick near the gas petal etc.www.oilburners.net
Few yeas back, I ripped out the old Ford vynal floor covering, removed the seats. air chisled off the old Tar pad from the factory. Cleaned the metal good with wax and grease remover.
Cleaned up any rusty areas, then covered the floor, under the seats, back wall , inside the doors with Dyna Matt. then threw in some Rock Auto red Carpet.
Found some Mercedes red Carpet pieces that almost match from PNP. A touch of class.
