I used my 1970 Highboy 7.3 idi to move, 600 Mile's each trip, hugh some pretty steep highways, namely Jasper Nationional park Alberta. 3 trips through there, and two more up through Kelowna and Williams Lake route, to Sinclair Mills where I bought my new home in the country. Broke my bellhousing on my return trip for the camper and pickup box load. Had to borrow the X's hybrid hyndia car to go back up and get my spare. Another 9.5 hour trip each way, and , lost an injector line , front left side cyl bank. Got the brackets on and that didn't happen again. Overall a good hard 20 days of moving, 5 trips with the 'OldMan' (52 this year). Trip one; canopy full and the boat. Trip two , truck parts and Samurai, trip three cargo trailer, trip 4 haled the oil tank, and snowplow with the 71 Meteor that I sold, and trip 5 emptied the pickup box to haul the camper , and pickup box trailer for shop goodies. Finally got the camper off the truck yesterday. Lots of boxes and shop tools and equipment moved. Ordinarily, it's a 11.5 hour trip each way, so the OldMan got a real good workout, all my upgrades sure helped over the last 7 years, and more needed. 4 core aluminium radiator really made a difference, new water pump, but needs a good overflow bottle. New turbo downpipe, helped too, but, I could have had the fuel turned up some, never did see any black smoke. Cargo trailers brakes didn't work at all, so the 4spd coming down hills sure helped. Almost turned some crazy tourist drivers into macaroni, in Jasper,NP. Another story, very full cargo trailer wieghing in around 10,000 lbs, etc
