wierd noise

i replaced my ip about a week ago and thought i timed it right.. but it just sounds a little odd... gettin a lil bit of extra ticking noise... i guess what im tryin to say is which way does it need to be turned??? not too knowledgable with this pump situation...typ 4 helped me on the phone when i was replacing it... hes the man!! any help is appreciated.:thumbsup:

Not sure which way to go for ticking, but I have mine turned towards the passenger fender just enough that the scribe lines are the width or a dime apart. My runs great adjusted like that. I'm hoping to get it timed with a meter soon (hint, hint punkmechanic... lol.).

Looks like you need to update your sig then. Advanced timing will knock a good bit. You might try moving the pump towards the drivers side to retard it. You can then apply 12 volts to the timing advance to get a 2 degree advance without moving the pump, just so you can experiment.
