I have a 1356 installed behind my ZF in my 63 chero.
and my front driveshaft that came with my 89 F350 CC LB does not fit the yoke on the front output yoke.

I had a s-47 ZF5 in it previously, with the stock 97 F350 PSD transfer,
I don't know what the hell this one is..

im hoping someone can help me out and let me know if I can swap the front output shaft yokes.

my driveshaft fits the transfer on the S-47, but wont fit the 1356.
I thought about swapping transfers, but I need a rear slip yoke, and the one I have has a flange
on the tail shaft. I want to run a 1 piece driveshaft.
wheel base is short on the 63.

anyone know if these yokes will interchange?
is there a crush sleeve of some sort behind the yoke?

appreciate the help!

Any driveline shop can get what you want. All driveshafts MUST have a slip joint or you will kill the rear end and transfer case. They should be able to build whatever you need. http://spicerparts.com/?region=NA

not my first rodeo Ben :D
I know that driveshafts have to have a way for it to collapse for suspension travel.
the 1356 uses a slip yoke on the output shaft, all my other transfers besides the one in my 87 have a slip yoke style
all my other ones are flanged, or have a yoke on the end.
because the rear driveshaft will be so short, I need a slip yoke to move the u-joint as close to the transfer as I can
and minimize the angle as much as I can.

the front just has the incorrect yoke for my driveshaft.

my driveshaft guy is a good ole American, and can do anything. but he expects me to know what I want before talking to him.
he's a grumpy ole man, but a great guy, as long as you don't sound like a moron,
so I choose to release my moronicy here and edumakate myself first lol

just got out the caliperials.

the 1356 transfer takes a 1330 u-joint
and the front of the cardigan(SP) is a 1330 length but a 1310 cap.

guess I just need to upgrade the driveshaft

I've had a np231 apart and it had no crush sleeve at all behind the yoke. It all rode on ball bearings. That dennys driveshaft has measurements of all the u joints they sell, including conversion u joints. You could measure the cups on the yoke and the width of the locating tabs and take that info to Denny's website

if you are looking for the shortest transfer case avail for ford, I do have one NP208 that's fitted on the back of a C6 trans for a ford 1ton. Also, there is a "local" driveline source. http://southbay-driveline.com/
ask for "steve".
here are pics of the yoke you will need. i can check with steve if he can get one for you. for reference, the yoke on the right is the one you need.

If he is trying use the double cardan f350 shaft, I don't think you can get or put a conversion u-joint into one of those.

Once you find the yoke you need for the transfer, can you post the part number up? I want to put a f350 double cardan front shaft in my f250, so I need that yoke also. I have done internet searches and ran across some numbers, but I want to make sure they are correct.

Couldn't tell you. Lol
Mine is a f350 with the DC joint.
I assume the tcase I swapped in was from a f250.

I used Southbay Driveline many years ago for my Jeep. I had a V-6 and a Turbo 400 tranny going through the transfercase and my rear shaft was all parts and no shaft. U-joint - slip joint - u-joint. And I go by the name Dave, not Ben.
