Today's dove hunt wasn't very exciting. We think that it's because there was enough rain late yesterday afternoon that the birds didn't have to come in to the pond we were sitting at. There was three shot, but I only took two home. The third one disappeared.

Drove about 100 miles round trip, went to the brother in laws to look at the truck I built for my mother in law. Apparently the E4OD had been acting up, dropping out of gear and such.
Scanned for codes, code 29 open circuit on speed sensor... But speedo is working. So probably a bad cluster again, or bad connector or something stupid.
Always forget just how ridiculously loud her idi is compared to literally all the other ones. But doesn't burn a drop of oil and doesn't leak so... I tolerate it.

Maaco did the body work and painted the truck in 2005 but I didn't have the cash then to have the Reading contractor's cap painted at the time. Over those 20 years since then the cap faded and some rust developed. Having a little more cash now I had the cap painted at a truck shop. Just got it back today.

Finished up my project finally, sits a lot taller with the Dana 60 but I like it, runs great once more, and the frame is impeccable never would I thought you could stick your hand under the oil pan and come out clean.
No leaks!
Got a few odds and ends left but that’s alright

LMC now offers a replacement dash pad in 4 colors. Made in China - the quality seems good but the grey color doesn't match the darker grey of the existing dash components. The replacement pad doesn't have the crack that annoyed my wife. Previously LMC's fix was a stick on cover. Overall I'm happy with the cosmetic repair.

Well, I'll tell you what I did to my truck today......more like 2 days ago, but today was more official.

I retired it......no, I'm not getting rid of it, I'm retiring it to "tow pig" status like @Clb has his truck (but mine isn't stored in a conex like a unicorn, lol).

I drove my white bronco to and from work last week with no issues and I did a 200 mile round trip with it yesterday to get a big speaker cabinet for my current guitar bug. She's proven herself worthy, so the OJ bronco is my daily. Monday the dually hauled hay and a drum of waste oil, I shut him down haven

ran clean diesel for a while so he gots diesel in the IP instead of sludge. And I parked him next to our motorhome that also has a "occasional use" status. The motorhome looks like the duallys weird fat uncle......

But what made today "official" was that I gave him a thorough vacuuming....great truck, love my dually...... been my daily for almost 7yrs except for some downtime between engines.

I'm enjoying the bronco, it has a 5spd but it's nothing like the dually.....I look like an amateur sometimes. I've stalled it in parking lots and in traffic once, lol.......I'm out of practice having to actually accelerate while coming out on the clutch! And wide ratio is a different beast haven driven a diesel close ratio for so long, I mean really? Down shifting to 2ond to turn on a street? I haven't gone below 3rd in years for said maneuver!

I can vouch for the quality of the dash replacement they carry for the dodge ram. My wife's 2000 ram 2500 had the usual cracks and brittleness. The replacement (not a cover) is perfect in every way, fit, color match and better durability
