$6,995.00 for a 2014 Kubota ZD331. 60" deck (fabricated not stamped) 30 HP Kubota 3 cylinder diesel engine with no emissions. Almost 2,100 hours. I had one at work and loved it - 1 gallon per hour fuel consumption, 11 miles an hour top forward speed - the blades spun so fast it would mow neatly at higher ground speed. We bought a newer one (maybe 2017) that had the required emissions and hated it.I am familiar with those machines.
Just curious...what model was it and why did you turn it down ?
The one I turned down was well maintained - no oil leaks - relatively tight. Everything worked as it should. I would have had to spend another $1,500 to get it where I wanted it to be - tires still had plenty of tread but weathered. Gauge wheels were worn pretty badly. The sticks needed new dampers. It was just a gut feeling that the machine wasn't right for my use and pocketbook. Here it is.... ZD3100
I have 2 acres finished lawn and another 1.5 acres of pasture that I mow with my 1999 John Deere 790 compact tractor with the mid mount mower. I'm fussy with the lawn's appearance and now I'm retired enjoy being fussy with it. Not sure if I'll keep on looking or be content with what I've got.
