Ran out to Bellville with my daughters and got some Toyo M/T’s put on. New shocks are ordered and will be installed this week, factory ones are hammered. 2D52F82B-CD5D-4D58-8E9B-74B634190DFA.jpeg

New tach sensor is installed. I'm not 100% sure that was the culprit now though. When the GP's are doing their afterglow, the tach is slow to come off idle when you blip the throttle. The last one was doing that too, but that one day it was also reading 0 RPM until the engine crossed ~800-1k RPM, so who knows. We'll see how it works tomorrow morning when it's cold and angry :D

Also, related: do not buy the sender from Ford. That was a rookie move on my part. They charged me $135 after tax, when I got home I looked on Amazon and it was $65. FU Ford :frustrate

This is NOT about my diesel, but it is about a truck of mine. My 1981 F150 with a 302 needed an oil change BADLY. Today was the nicest weekend day without a lot of wind for a while (I think it got up to about 36 or so) and I knew that I'd better get it done before winter really sets in. I knew that a high beam was out in one of my headlights and I had already ordered a new pair of projector beam headlights and a relay wiring harness from LMC truck. They were in the back of my diesel, ready to be installed. I changed the oil, and installed the new headlights and wiring harness. It only took me about 1 1/2 hours to do it. I was happy enough about the short time that it took me to do this that I decided to take an ATV ride for a little bit over an hour.
